Toni has worked with Pomptonian for over five years, first as a Food Service Director, she now supports clients’ nutrition initiatives as our Corporate Dietitian. Toni’s education started with her undergraduate degree in Culinary Nutrition from Johnson & Wales University. From there she completed her Dietetic Internship from College of Saint Elizabeth, where she graduated with honors. Toni furthered her education at Montclair State University with a Master’s degree in Business Administration.
Giving back to her community, Toni has been elected President of the New Jersey Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Additionally, Toni sits on the Board for the New Jersey School Nutrition Association as the senior chair of the Nutrition Education Committee and as the School Nutrition Association Ambassador.
Toni has been recognized by her peers for her accomplishments. Recently, she received the Emerging Dietetic Leader award from the New Jersey Dietetic Association. Additionally, she received the Cabot Community Celebrity award for her commitment to bringing local foods into the schools.
To further Pomptonian’s successful Farm Stand concept, she has launched a Farm-to-Tray initiative, showcasing local fruits and vegetables monthly, as well as their nutritional benefits and the local farms from which they came. Toni assists school districts navigate successful administrative reviews and attends Nutrition Advisory Committee meetings to better understand the needs of the individual community to develop award-winning menus and innovative concepts.
She is focused on food allergy management, working directly with families, school nurses, and cafeteria staff to meet their individualized needs. Toni’s unique background in culinary, business, and dietetics allows her to make key nutrition decisions.
